- The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, 700 Robbins Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19111, intends to procure on a sole source basis with Datex-Ohmeda to provide preventive maintenance services on their Datex-Ohmeda patient monitoring equipment located in the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Datex shall provide comprehensive maintenance and emergency repairs on 8 Aestive/5 7900 and 8 Trace Gas Analysis, including all parts, labor, and travel from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday for a period of 1 year. It has been determined that Datex is the only manufacturer capable of meeting this requirement for maintenance services. They have the unique expertise, special software, and tools required to service the equipment to provide the highest level of “up time” and the speed of repair that’s required for these critical equipment items. The Statutory authority for this sole source purchase is Title 10 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented in the FAR 6.302-1(a) (2). The applicable NAICS Code is 423450 with a size standard of 500 employees. This notice is for informational purposes only; no formal solicitation will be issued as a result of this announcement. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information in response to this notice via email to the address listed below, no later than May 20, 2008 at 5:00 PM EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely in the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by this date, a sole source contract with Datex-Ohmeda will be pursued.
