- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement for replacement of Air Handling Units in Bldg 8640 at Site C-6 on Eglin AFB FL. The NAICS code for this requirement 238220 and size standard of $13M. This procurement is UNRESTRICTED; Full and Open Competition. This is a Performance Price Trade Off acquisition and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. This project includes but is not limited to the following: furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all operations required for removing and replacing six air handling units from building 8640 at Site C-6 on Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work will be as follows: remove and replace 2 each axial, duct mounted, return air fans and 4 each large centrifugal blower supply air fans. The existing motors shall remain. Remove and replace 4 each filter racks. Airflows range in size from 50,000 CFM to 80,000 CFM. The facility is mission critical with redundant systems and high security requirements. The electrical work will include disconnect and re-connect on existing motors. Four motors shall have a new disconnect installed inside the AHUS. Four AHU fan rooms shall have additional lights installed in them. The magnitude of proposed construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is 266 calendar days. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Governments Electronic Posting System (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about 30 May 2008. The ESTIMATED PROPOSAL DUE DATE is 30 June 2008. No response to this notice is necessary and all interested contractors should register on the Interested Vendors List on the Federal Business Opportunities website. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) (orca.bpn.gov) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR or ORCA database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS Number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
