Description
The Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Caribbean Division has a requirement for temporary storage of Official Government Vehicles (OGVs). The Statement of Work is as follows: The Contract shall provide adequate space for the temporary storage of official government vehicles placed on surplus status until vehicles are sold or disposed of. Contractor shall designate a separate area for storage of DEA vehicles only. Vehicles in operating conditions shall be stored in covered parking. Vehicles not operational shall be stored in uncovered parking. Parking slots should be clearly marked and should provide easy access vehicle inspection and removal. The Contractor shall provide the following services for each vehicle in operating condition: (1) start vehicle twice a month, (2) move vehicle back and forth at least once a month, (3) wash vehicle at least once a month, (4) charge battery if necessary, and (5) fill flat tires, if necessary. The Contractor shall provide access to potential purchasers to check the vehicle during the sale process. The Contractor shall be required to release the vehicles authorized in writing by Administrative Officer Rosa Torres or Assistant Administrative Officer Linda Galarza. The Contractor shall generate work orders upon receipt and removal of vehicles from temporary storage and attach such work orders to monthly invoices. The Contractor shall maintain a record containing the time and date each vehicle was received and the date, time, name and organization to whom the vehicle was released. The vehicle storage facility shall also have 24-hour security service to ensure the safekeeping of DEA vehicles. The acquisition will be conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Subpart 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No solicitation will be made available. All quotes must be received by Friday, May 16, 2008 no later than 11:00 AM (EST).
