- THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS A 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET ASIDE IAW FAR 19.1405. PROPOSALS ARE BEING SOLICITED FROM SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY The Contractor shall furnish all work required to pave designated refuge headquarters roads and parking areas. The work includes excavation, backfilling, existing aggregate surface reconditioning, aggregate base, and paving. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE A. The location of the project is at the Waubay National Wildlife Refuge located in northeastern South Dakota, near the town of Waubay SD. B. Contractors are urged to visit the site and become familiar with existing conditions. Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve them from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION The estimated magnitude of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The total performance is 60 days from the Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside. The NAICS code is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, and the size standard is $31 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on/or about May 30th, 2008 with an anticipated closing date of June 27th 2008. Copies of the Request for Proposal, specifications and drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once they are available for issuance.
