Description

General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Acquisition Operations Division (AOD) located in the Pacific Rim Region has a requirement for the provision of Information Technology Support to the California Army National Guard (CA ARNG) Directorate of Information Management Directorate (DOIM), inclusive of a capability to perform daily automation assistance from several major strategic facilities in support of over 120 remote locations within California. This requirement is for a staff augmentation versus outsourcing of complete operational responsibility in the areas of Customer Support (Help Desk), Network Control, Telecommunications, Distributed Learning, and IT Logistics (Computer Asset Management). Adequate equipment, software/hardware tools, and workspace to support the augmented IT staff are available. The period of performance includes one 10 month base period and 4 one year (12 months) option periods. GSA, FAS AOD hereby issues a competitive 8(a) solicitation under the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 19.805 "Competitive 8(a).” The full Request for Proposal (RFP) is attached. Questions regarding the RFP are due by 5pm Pacific Time on May 20, 2008, to ensure sufficient time for the Government to respond. Offers are due by 3:00 PM Pacific Time on Monday June 9, 2008. No late offers will be accepted. These services are considered commercial items as per the definition under FAR Part 2.101. This RFP is released consistent with the requirements of FAR Parts 12.205(c) and 5.203(b).
