- United States Forest Service requires aerial photography services for direct digital acquisition of 24 inch (60cm) resolution stereo-coverage of the following items: Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest, Colorado (3,146 square miles), White River National Forest, Colorado (3,681 square miles), Pawnee National Grasslands, Colorado (1,418 square miles), and Bighorn National Forest, Wyoming (2,675 square miles). This solicitation will include an option to upgrade to 12 inch (30cm) resolution to be awarded according to level of funding. Imagery acquisition must be accomplished using a digital camera that collects four-band multi-spectral natural color (RGB) and color infrared (CIR) simultaneously. The project will have an approximate flying season of June 15, 2008 through October 1, 2008. Upon contract award, the contractor is required to draft and submit the proposed flight plan for Government approval prior to the notice to proceed. Contract deliverables include: georeferenced TIFFs, IMU and ABGPS data and other data files to be due 30 days after the end of the flying season. The solicitation number (RFP) USDA-FS-8-08 will be issued on or after Tuesday, May 27, 2008, with proposals due Thursday, June 26, 2008. This solicitation will be issued under FAR 15 as full and open competition procurement and is subject to the Availability of Funds clause (FAR 52.232-18).
