- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS for the purpose of obtaining market research only. No proposals are being requested nor accepted under this synopsis. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, will use information obtained under this synopsis to develop an acquisition strategy to meet a need of the U.S Army at Tobyhanna Army Depot for the Installation of a Portable Vegetative Roof Covering on multiple wings of Bldg 11, Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA. The intent of this synopsis is to access industrys capability for the installation of approximately 45,000 square feet of vegetative roof. The potential project would be managed under the supervision of the Corps of Engineers. The purpose of this effort is to expand the existing vegetative roof system to cover more of Building 11. The current intention is to commence construction by summer 2008, beginning with Wing B, followed by Wing D and finally, Wing C. This will add approximately 45,000 square feet of additional vegetative roof to Building 11. Vegetative Roof Vendors should submit data about vegetative roofs they have installed for Commercial Clients as well as Government Clients.
