- This is a large procurement for 3010-01-004-3863. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available from the Government. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1). Current approved manufacturers are Borg Warner Transmission Systems (CAGE 99186) P/N 138263A and Honeywell International (CAGE 99193) P/N 366912-2. This solicitation will be issued on 05/23/08 and closes 06/23/08. This requirement is for a quantity of 726 each. The Government's requested delivery time is 210 days. FOB is destination and inspection/acceptance is at destination. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based on a combination of price, delivery, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. All resonsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered.The solicitation will be available in FedBizOps on its issue date of 05/23/08. The proposed contract action is for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only limited sources under authority of FAR6.302. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services.
