- The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13) with Insight Instruments, Incorporated, 2580 SE Willoughby Boulevard, Stuart, FL 34995-3239, as the only source that can provide Oculus SDI/BIOM Wide Angle Viewing System and accessories. Specifically, the contractor shall provide: - SDI 2e Electronic Inverter (Part #54800-1, Quantity 1); - Biom 3m Manual Focusing (Part #54162, Quantity 1); - BIOM Adapter (Part #54123, Quantity 1); - Dovetail for Zeiss Visu 200 (Part #54511-1/0, Quantity 1); - Transformer, Power 6V (Part #54891, Quantity 1); - Cord, Power Extension (Part #54898, Quantity 1); - Case, BIOM Sterilization (Part #50001, Quantity 1); - Footswitch for SDI-2 5 Pin (Part #54883, Quantity 1); - Footswitch Extension, SDI-3 Electronic (Part #54885, Quantity 1); - Blitz Cleaner & Lubricant (Part #86021, Quantity 1); and - Biom Pack, 6 sets (Part #40205, Quantity 1). This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 423460 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received within 12 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to Shannon Lertora at shannon.lertora@med.navy.mil. Statements are due by COB 19 May 2008.
