- THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS! The 45th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement for Blackhawk/Seahawk Main Rotor Phase Maintenance Platform. This is a Sole Source with Merrill Engineering Ltd. IAW FAR 6.302-1. Merrill Engineering Ltd. is the only source capable of fulfilling the government's requirement to provide a maintenance platform that conforms to the contour of the aircraft. The contoured wrap extends from the front of the aircrtaft to the end of the exhaust ejectors on both sides. This contoured fit is achieved through the use of adjustable locking kick panels which slide out to the fuselage and are locked in place with cam locks. These slideing kick panels are flush with the main deck (no step down) eliminating gaps between the platform deck and the aircraft. The risk of personnel stepping or falling through or tools and equipment falling through causing damage to the aircraft or personal injury is reduced. The MP-1001 Phase Maintenance Platform is comprised of five modules, two side decks, one center deck, and two stair cases. The modules are designed for use as a structure while allowiong for increased mobility and ease of storage. When assembled the height is adjustable 12 inches to accommodate varying aircraft height and user preference. No solicitation documents exists at this time. This item/service utilizes Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 3728 with a business size of 1000 and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 336413. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Merrill Engineering Ltd. is the only source capable of providing this requirement.
