- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to the American Association of State Highway & Transportation Official (AASHTO) for the AASHTO software program (Pointis bridge management software) for bridge management. This license renewal is necessary in implementation of bridge management systems among the State Highway Agencies. AASHTO is the only known source that proves the Pontis bridge management software. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about May 22, 2008.
