Description

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a sole source purchase order to McLaren Software, Inc. for the purchase of DocLoader Project software and maintenance. This software and maintenance has been determined to meet the definition of commercial items in accordance with Part 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. McLaren Software, Inc. is the developer and sole distributor of the DocLoader Project software and maintenance. The DocLoader project software and maintenance is needed to support related computer needs and data storage for the overall success of the IRS’s ISDM GAT Test Environment Project. Vendors who can provide the required software and maintenance at prices, terms and conditions equal to or better than McLaren Software, Inc. should submit clear and convincing data in writing substantiating an ability to furnish the entire requirement. Telephonic or email inquiries will not be accepted. Responses to this notice must be received by this office by 04:00 pm EDT on May 12, 2008. Responses should be sent to: Internal Revenue Service, Office of Procurement, 6009 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745, Attn: Eddie Ortiz, OS:A:P:I:F:A. Responses will be accepted by facsimile at (202)283-4427. These responses may not exceed 10 pages. A formal solicitation may be issued if a response is received that meets IRS's requirements, and the analysis of both technical and pricing documentation indicate a competitive acquisition would be more advantageous to the Government. Currently, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. Requests for same will be considered non-responsive. The reference number for this announcement is V8V002ISD04-000. If no compelling responses are received, the award will be made to McLaren Software, Inc.
