Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue solicitation RFQ 41003-0106-8 for the provision of providing Radiology Services to the inmate population of the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Oxford, Wisconsin. The Contractor will provide specialty medical services in the area of radiological medicine to the inmates at the FCI. The board certified/eligible Radiologist will serve as the Director of Radiology Services and shall provide evaluations and interpretations of roentgenograms, and special diagnostic roentgenographic procedures to include arthrograms, barium enemas, G.I. series, venograms, cholecystograms, ultrasounds, tomography,and liver biopsies. The Contractor will provide specialized radiological testing and interpretations of all radiological tests and procedures on patients on referral from the FCI. It is estimated that the yearly requirements are as follows: 104 one hour sessions, 12 arthrograms/ultrasounds, and 12 liver biopsies per year. The Contractor shall provide a Board Certified, Licensed Radiologist. The Contractor provided Radiologist shall possess valid, current license and certification to practice within the State of Wisconsin. The Radiologist will be familiar with managing and supervising a hospital based radiology department regarding FDA, OSHA, and JCAHO standards. The contract period shall consist of one 12-month base year and four 12-month option years for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about May 13, 2008, and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fbo.gov. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated receipt of quotes is June 16, 2008. The solicitation will be a small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 621512 with a size standard of $11,500,000. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quote which will be considered. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
