Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; price proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W912P6-08-Q-0015 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. The provisions at 52.212.1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-4, Contract terms and conditions-Commercial Items and clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in 52.212-5(b) and (c) are included by reference: 5.222-21; 52.222-22; 52.222-23; 52.222-41; 52.225.3; and 52.232-34. THIS PROCUREMENT IS OPEN AND UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS CONCERNS. THE APPLICABLE NORTH AMERICA INDUSTRIAL CLASSIFICATION CODE IS 423610, WITH A SIZE STANDARD OF 500 EMPLOYEES OR LESS. AWARD: Award will be made in accordance with the evaluation criteria set forth within this announcement. The Government reserves the right to make an award on the initial quote without discussions on this procurement. GOVERNMENT’S DESIRED DELIVERY DATE: The Government’s desired delivery date is 9 June 2008 for Items 0001 and 0002 of the Bid Schedule. BID SCHEDULE: SEE THE ATTACHED PDF. DELIVERY LOCATION: The contractor shall deliver and unload the wire rope to the Chicago District’s Electric Fish Barrier 1 Project Site, which is located at the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal, Romeoville Road Bridge and South Frontage Road in Romeoville, Illinois 60446. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating its delivery with Mr. Greg Vejvoda, who can be reached at (312) 846-5487.
