- Description
- The FHWA/Central Federal Lands Highway Division intends to procure on a sole source basis a Bending Beam Rheometer System. This system must conform to AASHTO T-313 and ASTM D 6816. This system will include a thermoelectrically cooled 120V rheometer, an integral bath, beam loading frame, controls, calibration kit, molds, computer interface, and a computer. The government intends to procure this system from Cannon Instruments, State College, PA. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued using FAR SubPart 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responses received by the response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
