- Electrical Distribution Project 540-04-121 Pre-solicitation Notice The upcoming Invitation For Bids (IFB) is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set a side. The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates an award under competitive procedures as described in FAR 14.101 of a Firm Fixed Price contract. Pending the Availability of Funds. A Mandatory Pre-proposal site-visit will be held on May 27, 2008 at 10AM. The location for the site visit is the Department of Veterans Affairs, Louis A Johnson, Medical Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301. Furnish all material, labor, supervision and equipment to complete work as described in the specifications and drawings of project 540-04-121 at the Louis A Johnson, VA Medical Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301. Work will include all trades and skills to perform construction activities described by said specifications and drawings and that work will not be limited by anything in this general statement and nothing in this statement shall be construed to limit the specifications and drawings. Work to be performed includes all necessary demolition to prepare the facility to receive new spaces and renovate existing spaces that will house a fully renovated electrical system. Modification of existing and installation of new alternate power sources, replacement of high voltage equipment and feeders, establishment of a new electrical closet tower, provision of a new 480 volt backbone system, and interconnection of new and existing systems. Work will be accomplished with minimal disruption of hospital operations. Intense and detailed coordination of construction activities with hospital operations will be a hallmark of successful completion of this project. Sealed Bid due date will be June 20, 2008 at 2 PM (EST). Late bids received after this date and time will not be accepted.
