- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The National Park Service (NPS) is in the process of rehabilitating the Historic 2200-square foot Jacob Ebey House into a seasonal visitor contact station for the Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve. NPS employees will restore/rehabilitate the main living rooms, and install new ADA unisex restroom, reception/work area, staff room, and mechanical room. All interior wall coverings have been removed and the interior walls are exposed. This RFQ is for designing, furnishing, and installing: 1) A complete, automatic, self-contained, antifreeze-protected fire sprinkler system with associated appurtenances, to provide for complete coverage of the house; and 2) An addressable fire alarm system in accordance with applicable codes and as specified in the RFQ. A site visit is recommended prior to submitting your offer. All work will be performed under a single contract. SOLICITATION DETAILS: This is a best value procurement open to service-disabled veteran-owned business concerns. The NAICS code for this project is 238220 and the small business size standard is $13.0 million, average annual gross receipts for the past three years. The electronic Request for Quotations will be available on approximately May 19, 2008, at www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov. In order to download the solicitation, interested vendors must register at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and maintain an active registration at http://www.ccr.gov. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. PROJECT LOCATION: The project site is at 162 Cemetery Rd, Coupeville WA, at the end of a 1300 ft long a dirt road.
