- Solicitation Number W912HZ-08-T-0036 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) with the intent to award a firm-fixed price contract utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-25. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns under NAICS Code 333120 (SIC 3531) with a size standard of 750 employees. The ERDC Tunnel Detection Team has needs for an air assisted rotary drill to install TADS at various locations. The drill will aid the installation of various sub-surface monitoring systems, as well as, create pathways for unmanned vehicles to explore areas in the surface where humans cannot venture. The drill must meet several requirements. It must be skid steer mountable, air assisted clean out, no less than 20 degree position side-to-side, have multi-speed drilling capability, hydraulic feed cylinders, be rotary drive with at least 5,00ft/lbs of torque, and be detachable when not in use. The team will also require the trenching attachment for the skidsteer which will be used as a mechanism for the installation of pipes and cables to connect the various down hole monitoring systems.
