- Proposals are being sought for replacement and installation of A, (Government Furnished) large bottomless arch structure (steel) located on the Newport Ranger District, Colville National Forest, Pend Oreille County, near Newport, Washington. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and supplies except the bottomless arch culvert steel structural plate which will be supplied by the Government. Materials that are contractor furnished include riprap from Government pit, cast in place concrete footings, and any other materials to complete the work as designed. Dewatering and stream diversion work will be required. Project shall conform to the requirements as stated in the Memorandum of Understanding between the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and the USDA Forest Service. Other project work requirements include: clearing and grubbing, excavation, removal and disposal of the old culvert, installation of traffic control signing, stream diversion and dewatering, constructing structural plate bottomless arch assembly, backfill, compaction and finish grade, and placement of conserved surfacing, riprap, weir rock and conserved streambed material. The estimated cost range for this project is $250,000 to $500,000. A 20% bid bond will be required with all offers, with a resulting 100% performance and payment bond required after award. Notice of Total HUBzone Small Business Concern Set-Aside – Offers from other than Certified HUBzone Contractors will not be considered. Offerors must be certified with the Small Business Administration Certification list. In stream work restriction is from July 1st to September 30th, with all to be completed in 2008 season.
