Description
This proposed procurement is 8(a) competitive, NAICS 236220 size standard of $31 Million. Estimated cost of services is between $5,000,000.00 - $10,000,000.00 The USAMRIID Early Site Utility package project consists of Demolition, removal and relocation of existing utilities in the footprint of the future USAMRIID Replacement Facility project. This is being done to provide a free and clear worksite for the Stage I work when the main contract is awarded. The demolition consists of the removal of approximately 360 lf of gas line, 700 lf of sanitary sewer, 360 lf of communication cable, duct bank and manholes, 960 lf of overhead electrical power lines, and associated de-energizing and disconnection and removal of high voltage wires and electric poles. The proposed utilities work is to consist of a new water main, information technology duct bank and an electrical power service duct bank, approximately 490 lf of 12 ductile iron pipe water main with associated thrust blocks, the addition of one (1) fire hydrant, approximately 3,023 lf of new communication duct bank and manholes, 840 lf of new electrical duct bank with associated manhole, and approximately 1,520 lf of 12 PVC sewer pipe with approximately 5 manholes, ranging from 6 to 18 feet deep. Trenching for the new utilities in existing roadways and parking areas will require pavement replacement. Additional information in accordance with the statement of work is included in the request for quotations bid package. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. All questions shall be submitted via e-mail to maureen.d.turner-cooper@usce.army.mil. Bids can be submitted via mail to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division, Room 7000, 10 South Howard Street, Baltimore, MD 21201-2530. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge on or about 16 May 2008, to all authenticated account holders of Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) System. To familiarize vendors with the newly released FBO system, please download the Vendor Guide found here. Please note that all Corps of Engineers acquisitions are considered Sensitive, But Unclassified Documents, and require users to have a valid MPIN entered in the FBO system to access package. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. No phone or fax request for copy of solicitation will be accepted.
