Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issues. This procurement is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) number RFQ-08-044 for Variable Speed Drives (VSD’s) under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) set forth in FAR Part 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-24. The associated North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAIC) for this procurement is 339999: All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is a small business set aside and only qualified Offeror may submit quotes. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on May 15, 2008 12:00 pm Eastern Time. FOB Destinations shall be Mr. William Burns National Gallery of Art 2000B South Club Drive, Landover, MD 20785. The parts shall be delivered within seven calendar days from date of award. The National Gallery of Art (Gallery) requires the Variable Speed Drives manufactured by Yaskawa Electric and requires the following items: 240V Rated Input Voltage - Drive Model Number- CIMR-E7U20151 (10) Quantity EA 480V Rated Input Voltage - Drive Model Number- CIMR-E7U43P71 (01) Quantity EA 480V Rated Input Voltage - Drive Model Number- CIMR-E7U45P51 (02) Quantity EA 480V Rated Input Voltage - Drive Model Number- CIMR-E7U47P51 (03) Quantity EA 480V Rated Input Voltage - Drive Model Number- CIMR-E7U49P01 (12) Quantity EA 480V Rated Input Voltage - Drive Model Number- CIMR-E7U40181 (01) Quantity EA Due to the Gallery, standardizing the mechanical equipment and the previous number, Yaskawa drives presently installed and currently in use, the Gallery will not consider or accept offers with other Brand Name or Equal. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. Offers for the items described above are due on May 15, 2008at 3:00p.m. EST and may be emailed: db-gilson@nga.gov; faxed: 202-312-2792 or mailed to NGA Denise Gilson 2000B South Club Drive, Landover, MD 20785. The quote must include the following, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration, taxpayer identification number (IN) identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Offers shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offeror Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items are applicable. FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial. Items are applicable and the following identified clauses are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.204-7, 52.212-3. 52.222-3, 52/222-26, 52.225-1, 52/232-25, 52.232-33, 52.243-1. The FAR may be obtained via the Internet at URS: http://acquisition.gov/far. All contractual and technical questions must be in writing (e-mail or fax) to Denise Gilson as sited above contact information. Offeror must complete the attached SF-1449 and submit with their quote. Technical acceptability will be determined by review of the information submitted by the offeror, which must provide a description in sufficient detail to show that the product offered meets the Governments requirement. Selection and award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer with acceptable past performance. It is critical that Offeror provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer. (SEE FAR 52.212-1(b) *** Offers must include completed copies of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their offer. This may be obtained via the internet URS: http://acquisition.gov/far. Prospective offers shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. Potential offers will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this combination synopsis/solicitation and amendments (if any).
