- The purpose of this amendment is to provide questions and answers and additional clarifications requested by interested vendors. Also a revised CLIN structure is provided to account for the individual classrooms where the smartboards will be installed. Floor plans/layouts/drawings of the building are not available. 1. How far away is the server for each classroom? THE SERVER IS ACROSS THE ROAD. THE CLASSROOMS ON THE SECOND FLOOR GO TO A CLOSET IN THE HALL THEN TO THE 4TH FLOOR. THE LAB GOES TO A SWITCH THEN TO THE 4TH FLOOR. THE 4TH FLOOR GOES TO THE 4TH FLOOR, THEN BY FIBER OPTIC CABLE TO THE SERVER. 2. Do you require us to run cable to the server room? ONLY WITHIN OUR BUILDING DO WE NEED MORE CABLE RUN. 3. What type of cable do you require to the server? Cat5 cable? YES, CAT 5 CABLE. 4. Is conduit a contractor requirement or will it be provided by the client? YES. 5. Will installing the software and shared drive be a part of this requirement? YES, SOFTWARE INSTALLATION AND SHARED DRIVE WILL BE PART OF THE REQUIREMENT. CONTRACTORS SHALL INSTALL THE SOFTWARE AND TEST THE COMPUTER TO THE SMARTBOARD TO ENSURE EVERYTHING WORKS PROPERLY. 6. Please clarify what Computer the Smart Board will be connected to and what Server integration is required. THE COMPUTERS ARE LOCATED AND PROVIDED IN EACH OF THE CLASSROOMS. THE SMART BOARD IS CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER, THEN THE COMPUTER IS CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A SWITCH TO GO FROM ONE TO THE OTHER (LANGUAGE NETWORK AND INTERNET). 7. It is indicated that power is available in each room for the Smart Board and projector, do you require Panduit race way for the power cable, VGA and USB cables. Will the computer be more than 20' from the Smart Board requiring additional VGA and USB cables? PLEASE SEE BREAKOUT BELOW OF CLASSROOM POWER EQUIPMENT NEEDS. 8. Are you accepting substitutes for Smart Technologies, such as 3M Interactive Boards if the specs meet or surpass the requirements? THIS IS A BRAND NAME OR EQUAL ACQUISITION, PRODUCTS MUST MEET OR EXCEED THE REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS PROVIDED. 9. Are the units to be mounted on regular walls? UNITS ON THE 2ND FLOOR WILL BE MOUNTED ON CONCRETE BLOCK OR SOLID CONCRETE. UNITS ON THE 4TH FLOOR WILL REQUIRE A STAND AS THE WALLS ARE TEMPORARY AND WILL NOT SUPPORT THE ARM AND THE SMARTBOARD. ROOMS AND FLOORS ARE PROVIDED ON THE CLIN RESTRUCTURE BELOW. 10. Are we providing the desktops for each Interactive Board? NO DESKTOPS/COMPUTERS ARE NOT A PART OF THIS REQUIREMENT. 11. Is IT going to provide support/assistance with the network connectivity, PC security policies, word processing and workgroup software, and anti-virus software? THE GOVERNMENT HAS CHECKED THE NETWORK CONNECTIVITY IN EACH OF THE CLASSROOMS AND HAS ISSUED WORK ORDERS TO HAVE THE ROOMS WHERE THE NETWORK IS NOT WORKING TO BE FIXED. OTHER THAN THIS NO ADDITIONAL SUPPORT/ASSISTANCE SHOULD BE NEEDED. 12. Will all items be sent at once to the shipping address, or in intervals? Are all items scheduled to be installed at once or in intervals? Installation can only occur on weekends, if more than one weekend is necessary for installation, that can be arranged. Contractors shall work out delivery/shipment so the customers do not have to unload and store smartboards. 13. Do you require an extra set of Smart Board pens, customers most of the time order extras because they tend to get lost. NOT AT THIS TIME, THIS IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE ORDERED WITH THE CUSTOMERS GPC CARD LATER IF NECESSARY. REVISED CLIN STRUCTURE IS PROVIDED BELOW. CLIN 0001 - 64IN Interactive Whiteboard with Integrated Unifi Projector to be mounted on the concrete wall with an arm. Quantity 38 x ______ unit price = _______extended price. (Room numbers 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207, 208, 209, 212S, 212N, 211NE, 211NW, 211SW, 211SE, 216, 229, 230, 231, 232, 233, 234, 235, 237, 238, 239, 240, 241, 245, 246, 247, 248, 265, 267, 268, 269, 270, 271, 272) CLIN 0002 - 64IN Interactive Whiteboard with Integrated Unifi Projector to be installed on the 4th floor, will not be mounted to the wall, shall be provided with stand with sufficient capacity to hold the smartboard. The stand(s) shall have two legs, prop up against the wall as to not tip forward and have 4 to 5 adjustable heights. Quantity 14 x ______ unit price = _______extended price. CLIN 0003 - Provide all equipment and labor necessary to successfull install all 52 smartboards in each of the 52 designated classrooms. Installation includes integrating systems to the server.
