- Description
- The Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) intends to negotiate a sole source award to continue work on the History of Acquisition in the Department of Defense, Vol. 1, Into the Cold War 1945-1958 with Dr. Elliott V. Converse, 180 South Van Dorn St., Apt. B414, Alexandria, VA 22304-4324. Dr Converse shall provide comprehensive staff support to the U.S. Army Center of Military History. This effort includes conducting historical research and writing to complete Volume I of the Defense Acquisition History project (Into the Cold War 1945-1958) and reviewing and revising existing historical chapters previously drafted for the same volume and preparing all front and back matter to complete the manuscript. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of a base year of 12 months and one 12 month option year. This announcement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five days after date of publication (NLT 9 May 2008, 1:00PM EST) of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
