- Description
- The Providence VAMC requires certified repairs and testing of its medical gas systems. Systems include Oxygen, Nitrogen, Nitrous Oxide, Medical vacuum, Medical air, Medical suction, Medical Anesthesia Exhaust and Dental vacuum and medical air as appropriate. Compliance inspection, repair and testing of the systems must be done in accordance with the most current editions of NFPA 99 and NFPA 55 for a Level 1 facility. This includes bulk systems, manifolds, vacuum pumps, air treating systems, zone values, outlets, master alarms, and area alarms as appropriate. In addition, the contractor shall be located within 200 miles of VAMC and be able to respond to service or emergency calls within 4 hours.
