- This is combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the form in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 148462 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-06. The NAICS code is 336321-VEHICULAR LIGHTING EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING Overview of Requirement: The United States Secret Service (USSS) has a requirement for the following items (ITEMS, P/N, DESCRIPTION, QTY): 1. Whelen Dual Talon Super LED Series Red/Blue, TLN2RB, 42 EA 2. Whelen Slim Lighter Super LED Series, Red/Blue, SLPMMRB, 59 EA 3. Whelen 500 Series TIR6 Super LED, GRILL, Red, 50R03ZCR, 12 EA 4. Whelen 500 Series TIR6 Super LED, GRILL, Blue Model, 50B03ZCR, 12 EA 5. Whelen CSP660 Power Supply & 4 Bulbs w/cables, S660CCCC, 14 EA 6. Whelen CenCom Siren Amplifier & Control Center w/ Traffic Advisor, CCSRNTA2, 2 EA 7. Whelen CenCom 20" Microphone Extension Kit, CCSRNTA2, 2 EA 8. Whelen Talon Dash Light Mounting Bracket, TLNBKT5, 47 EA 9. Whelen 500 Series Universal Mounting Braket, 5BKT1, 24 EA 10. Whelen TIR6 Super LED Surface Mount Flange Kit, 5TSMAB, 24 EA 11. Whelen 25 ft. Substitute Strobe Cable, SEXT25, 24 EA 12. Whelen Hideaway Strobe w/ two 15 ft. cables, HA239C, 24 EA. The estimated period of performance (or delivery schedule) for the above items should be no more than 120 days. Format for Quote Pricing: the offeror shall provide a total price for the requested items. Contact information: The offeror shall provide the name, title, telephone number, fax number, and email address of the point of contact. The offeror shall provide the nine-digit DUNS and the nine-digit TIN. DUNS is used to verify that the vendor is in CCR. The Taxpayer Identification Number is necessary for electronic payment. Evaluation Factors **Substitutions will not be accepted for the items requested above regarding Item P/N** The Government intends to award a fixed price contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, capability, price and other factors considered. It is anticipated that this requirement will be a fixed price contract. **By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and thorugh final payment from any award resulting from this solicitation. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 25.001 Buy American Act FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items. Award will be based on: 1) price; and 2 the capability of the services offered to meet the above stated salient characteristics FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Terms FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statuses or Executive Orders-Commercial Items Quotations are due by 2:00pm EST on May 1, 2008.
