(Qty: 1 ea), The authority for this sole source action is FAR 13.106(b). This item is intended to control a motorized motion system for moving optical system components in the optical measurement system. We require a motion controller that is fully compatible with existing Newport these stages, as well as the control software that is used in the data taking process. At the same time the new controller has to be interchangeable with ones in other measurement systems we operate. Newport ESP300 controller, along with more expensive XPS series, is the only one that has this compatibility. The motorized stages we currently operate include Newport rotation stage Models SR50CC and translation stage Model lTA-HL. Interested parties may identify their capabilities to fulfill this requirement by submitting a capability statement that described in the synopsis. Capability statements shall clearly and unequivocally demonstrate that the offeror can provide the required items and shall include evidence that the vendor is an authorized reseller of the products Capability statements may be e-mailed to JANICE.MOTEN@NIST.GOV. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for quotation.
