- Description
- The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis with Cameca Industries, Inc., 204 Spring Hill Road, Trumbull, CT 06611 for the procurement of a duoplasmatron primary ion source compatible with a Cameca 6f which is required to conduct research related to Nuclear Forensics. This requirement dictates the use of a duoplasmatron primary ion source to take advantage of the sensitivity gained by using positive ions. This hardware must be designed and custom built to Cameca specifications and compatible with the other components of the Government owned Cameca 6f in use here at NRL, including the hardware, electronics, and software. These components are proprietary Cameca technology and must be fully compatible and integratable into the current Cameca 6f. Cameca Industries, Inc. is the only known source of products dictated by this requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
