Description
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency seeks information regarding the capabilities of vendor software and systems to provide current market data for examiner and agency use to analyze the status and value of nationwide residential construction projects. We require detailed facts and reporting on the following information for single-family homes, condominiums, and town homes: lot and unit inventory by stage of development from platted to finished construction for Metropolitian Statistical Areas (MSA), submarkets, and specific developments; individual project statuses with estimated delivery dates and percent complete; historical absorption rates showing both inventory changes and sales data for each segment; all information must be able to be segmented by market, by type of property, by value buckets, and by square footage; and unit data should included estimated completion dates, percentage of completion, and builders active. The data should be updated with current market condition information at least quarterly, cover as many MSAs as possible (with a minimum of 40 MSAs), be geographically diverse across the United States (U.S.), and cover greater than 50% of all U.S. housing starts. Please send a brief write-up of your software’s functional capability in a one to two page document for review. Based on this review, selected software packages that meet the intended expectations of the OCC will be test for a period of 60 – 90 days. The vendor will provide sufficient training for 12-15 staff to test the software and system via an internet meeting connection. The agency will test the software and system for a trial period of 60 - 90 days (please let us know if this trail period is too long for your company) simultaneously in 6-7 geographically diverse MSAs; during this trial period, the data will be used by approximately ten field examiners and two examiners in the Washington, D. C. headquarters location. Part of the testing process will include agency review of both standard and customized reporting output that can be generated from the database. Both the database and the associated output will be used to evaluate the real estate markets. Vendors will be asked to submit their functional capability submission to Stephanie.gorski@occ.treas.gov and for those firms whose product was deemed viable, the software packages must be sent to Stephanie Gorski via email or by mail to: mailstop FM-4 250 E St. SW, Washington, DC 20219. If you have any questions regarding this announcement, please contact Stephanie Gorski at (202) 874-4639.
