- Description
- The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (AAIHS) Office of Environmental Health and Engineering, (OEHE) has a requirement for Solid Waste Training for FY 2008-2009. The contract award will be for a base year period of 12 months, with a one year-optional renewal. It is anticipated that in Indefinite Delivery, Idefinite Quantity contract will be awarded, and individual Task Orders will be issued against contract as the need of training services are required. Description of Work: Provide multiple three-day sessions of specialized solid waste management training and will be focused on Sustainable Solid Waste Management Operations. The overall objective of the training is to support tribal solid waste management programs and operators. Major topics areas are: Organizational Management, Financial Management, Compliance and Enforcement, Pre-Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan (ISWMP) Planning, Waste Characterization, Develop ISWMP, ISWMP Implementation. Contractor shall incorporate classroom lectures with case studies and group exercises. The Environmental Health Support Center (EHSC) will award continuing education credit for this course under the guidelines of IACET. The courses will be taught to individuals from a national audience with multiple operating settings and varied equipment. The Contractor shall provide each session of training including all equipment and materials for each presentation of the course. The Contractor shall provde an instructor with knowledge in the course topics to be presented. Instructor must have experience in teaching solid waste operators. The contractor shall provide a description of past trainings conducted. Instructor qualifications and experience shall be integral to the contractor's selection. Locations of training sites: Minneapolis, MN, Denver, CO, Oklahoma City, OK, Phoenix, AZ, Portland, OR, Anchorage, AK. Dates - Training will be held during fiscal years 2008 and 2009.
