- Description
- Sandia is interested in making this technology (US patent 7,229,178, Variable Focal Length Deformable Mirror, Sandia Disclosure 7799) available to companies to develop this technology into a market-ready product. The focal length of the deformable mirror is variable and can be used in any application requiring the focusing or de-focusing of light, including both coherent and incoherent sources, for both on- and off-axis focusing. This technology has been featured in the world news section of Laser Focus World, vol.:43(2) as well as several peer reviewed papers, e.g. Applied Physics B, vol.: 82, pp. 275-281, 2006. Potential licensees should have proven business development skills and acumen, and possess or obtain the financial capability to bring the technology to market. Sandia is making this technology available to companies interested in partnering with Sandia to develop near term and/or future applications via licensing, including up to exclusive field of use licenses, or cooperative development agreements.
