Software maintenance and customer support for the "Neuralog/NeuraScanner/NeuraSection" system is not supplied by any other vendor. customer support is a necessity due to the complexity of the software and associated analysis.Specifications for scanner and associated software:"Scan width: greater than 11" wide and unlimited length (continuous scanning capability) able to handle geophysical logs that are of varying lengths often in excess of 3 feet per log. "Able to scan up to 4" per minute"Media: able to scan paper or film, with inconsistent surfacing (folds, rips, aged media, etc.)"Image quality and output: B&W or color images (often images are blue on blue or copies of the original logs, versatility in color options is important in obtaining as clear of an image as possible)"Resolution 300 dpi or greater in a file format tif, jpg, gif. Image must be of sufficient quality to read log intercepts on vertical and horizontal grid of log. Additionally, purpose of scanning geophysical logs is to create an electronic archival copy of the geophysical coal data in our security room. Files generated by scanner should be viewed by any of the standard software viewers."manual feed or automatic feed acceptable"compatible with Windows XP and associated USB and serial ports"Relatively portable, since workstation size is not very big, do not have room for large upright scanner. Scanner able to fit on a desktop next to a stand alone workstation."Software that allows for automated convergence of scanned logs into digital data"Multiple line/curve interpretation for each log converted (software can distinguish between lines of multiple geophysical logs on a single sheet)."Image warp and stretch correction"Accepts images generated by above scanner"Produces data in tabular (spreadsheet) or ASCII format"Compatible with Windows WP systems, PC workstation"Converted map data to digitized format is compatible with AutoCAD DXF, formatted ASCII, or ESRI ArcView Shape File which can be converted into to existing geologic modeling software, TechBase (metafiles) or used with Arc or ArcView that is currently used in the office."Software that can take digital well log files and create Geologic Cross sections"Be able to designate intervals to be viewed in cross sections"Compatible with current operating systems, printers and plotters"Ability to add fault location or identifiers during log analysis"Plan view of well location from which the logs are being used to generate the cross section"Color cross section with multiple color shading/patterns to distinguish between different geologic units"12 month software and hardware maintenance agreementIf you can provide these types of services please contact Jami Warren by email @ jami_warren@blm.gov by 1 may 2008.
