- Description
- The Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Campbell, KY, has a requirement to upgrade ADC Electrical System, USBF/VBM electronic subsystem with setup and training. This equipment is solely manufactured and supplied by Avion Manufacturing, Inc. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, for other than full and open competition; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Agency intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price order with Avion Manufacturing, Inc. 75 Cooperative Way, Wright City, MO 63390-4001. NAICS code for this procurement is 336413 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement with the Avion Manufacturing, Inc. Responses are due by 6 May 2008, 12:00 p.m. (CST).
