Description
The Olympic National Forest, Washington, intends to acquire by contract: the removal and replacement of a culvert on Forest Service Road No. 2740, at M.P. 1.3; and the removal of a culvert at M.P. 6.85. Period for performance is from JULY 15, 2008, to OCTOBER 31, 2008. In-stream work at M.P. 1.3 shall be completed by AUG. 31, 2008. In-stream work at M.P. 6.85 shall be completed by OCT. 30, 2008. Project locations are: M.P. 1.3 and M.P. 6.85 near Quilcene, Washington. Project Manager is Jasmine Budrow (360) 956-2295. The government will proceed to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation, with a 100% set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value is between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance and Payment bonds are required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. This solicitation will be available on or about APR. 17, 2008. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
