- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO SOLE SOURCE -Contracting Office: Information Technology E-Commerce & Commercial Contracting Center (ITEC4) 2461 Eisenhower Avenue Hoffman Building #1 Alexandria, Virginia 22331-1700. The statutory authority for contracting without providing for full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). The regulatory authority is FAR 6.302-1, required services are available from only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy the requirement. Notice: Extension of the Microsoft Premier Support services contract DAAB15-02-D-1002; The Period of Performance is five months May 1, 2008 to September 30, 2008. The proposed acquisition is a five-month extension of the Microsoft Premier Support services contract; through which the Government will continue to obtain Account Management Services, architecture, application design and code reviews, Information services, and Technical Support services worldwide. This support includes on-site visits, Reactive Incident support, and subscriptions to various on-line tools. These on-line tools include participation in Expert Roundtables, which provide customers with access to Microsoft program managers, developers, and support professionals covering key areas of Microsoft technology, and the Microsoft Developer Network Subscription, which provides access to an extensive collection of programming information, development toolkits and sample code library. Intention: Award to Microsoft Corporation. Justification: The Army is preparing a competitive acquisition due to recently identified additional sources for Microsoft Premier Support Services. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the upcoming follow-on procurement for this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; A determination by the Government not to compete this action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
