- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a purchase order to a 100% capability of small businesses (including certified 8(a), Small Disadvantaged, and HUBZone firms; veteran and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and women-owned small businesses) to provide a Mass Spectrometer. The laboratory at the FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine, Office of Research, Division of Residue Chemistry requires a quadrupole – time-of-flight (Q-TOF) hybrid mass spectrometer to analyze tissues from animals, animal feed, and other matrices for presence or residues of drug, antibiotic, or other xenobiotic compounds. The NAICS Codes is 334516 The specific need for a Q-TOF configuration is based on the following combination of features: 1. Accurate mass measurement of molecular ions, to enable molecular composition to be determined by mass assignment; 2. Accurate mass measurement of product ions obtained by collisions at mass analyzer and the TOF mass analyzer, to enable elemental composition to be determined by a combination of product ion mass assignment and selected reaction monitoring. See attachment This notice is an Invitation for a Request for Proposals. We have the right to award with out discussions. Responses to this notice must be received by the Contract Specialist below not later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard time on May 12, 2008 for consideration.
