- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.. The 437th Contracting Squadron, 101 E. Hill Blvd., Charleston AFB SC, requires the repair of 1 each Telescoping Man-Lift Platform (TMP) located in Bldg 515. Repairs will consist of but not limited to replacing the existing lower roller system and wire ropes on the damaged telescoping platform with new parts, perform a complete visual inspection to include wire rope components, attachment bolts and structure for fatigue and realign the mast of 2 each TMP's. The 437th Contracting Squadron intends to make an award to ASC AeroSystems Corporation, 220 NE 46th Street, Oklahoma City OK 73105-3306. AeroSystems Corporation is certified in the installation, maintenance and repairs to the TMP's. They designed, built and installed the equipment and are the only manufacturer that is currently capable of determining the problems and making the repairs. Extensive market research was performed and information gathered in determining this company to be the only source for these services Per FAR Part 5.207-13(e) Fed Biz Ops Numbered Note 22 applies and is modified to read: The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to response to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement Response to this notice must be received via email, fax, mail, or delivery by April 25 2008 no later than 3:30 PM Eastern Standard Time.
