- ***** THE SOLICITATION AVAIALABILITY DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM APRIL 23, 2008, TO ON OR ABOUT MAY 28, 2008. ***** THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS A 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. PROPOSALS ARE BEING SOLICITED FROM SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS CONTRACTORS ONLY. Work under this contract consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment required to install a new 1" HDPE water line approximately 2,100 lineal feet in length, purchase a water meter from Rural Water District No. 1, excavation and compaction, and the removal of an existing 1,200 gallon buried cistern. The Contractor shall be responsible for all construction surveys and staking required for performance of all work to the lines, grades, and slopes shown on the drawings. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE A. The site of the work is at the Marais Des Cygnes National Wildlife Refuge, Linn County, Kansas, located approximately 2 miles north of highway 52, East 1550 Road & Stateline. The refuge telephone number is (913) 352-8956 B. Contractors are encouraged to visit the work sites and become familiar with existing conditions and equipment. GENERAL INFORMATION The estimated magnitude of construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The total performance is 90 days from the Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is a 100 % Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. The NAICS code is 237110, Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction, and the size standard is $31 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to available electronically on/or about May 28, 2008 with an anticipated closing date of June 27, 2008.
