- Description
- The Contractor shall provide a team of qualified, certified, and experienced weapons removal and abatement technical experts and associated supporting infrastructures that (when directed by PM/WRA) are capable of deploying world wide to implement conventional weapons destruction and mitigation solutions that minimize or eliminate the threat posed by conventional weapons and/or explosive hazards to civilian populations, protect victims of conflict, and restore access to land and infrastructures. This requirement is not in the field of environmental remediation. Firms that specialize the chemical and environmental treating of land or facilities should only reply if they are well-versed in explosive ordnance disposal and battle area clearance of explosive remnants of war. Applicants must be familiar with and capable of complying with International Mine Action Standards for the removal and destruction of landmines. Familiarity with the entire range of conventional weapons arsenals, including knowledge on the mitigation of the threat caused by deployed but unexploded cluster munitions, is a requirement This procurement is not set-aside for small business.
