Description
US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to procure professional services to pump concrete on the jetty on the Southside of Palm Beach Harbor Entrance Channel in Palm Beach, Florida. Pumping concrete on jetty will be approximately 600 cubic yards between 549 feet and 2140 feet. Contractor will provide a Pump Truck or Pump Trailer. Contractor shall be responsible for purchasing, ordering, delivery and schedule of concrete. Contractor shall submit for approval of concrete mix design. Concrete shall include non-ferrous fibers for reinforcement as part of the mix. The specified compressive strength fc shall be 4,000 psi at 28 days. The air content shall be between 4.5 and 7.5 percent. The slump shall not exceed 4 inches before a super plasticizer is added to mix if a super plasticizer is used. Contractor shall be responsible for providing approximately 1350 feet of slick line; fixed metal line to pump for pumping the concrete and 100 feet of flexible line. Contractor shall be responsible for installation of slick line; in addition to reducing and/or lengthening the slick line. Working hours will be approximately 3 hours a day. A Table is attached showing maximum and average pump distances for various amounts of concrete. The concrete shall be pumped in accordance with directions given by the Government Representative of the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) that will be on the Site. A firm-fixed price commercial item contract is considered for this acquisition. Solicitation is unrestricted. SIC Code is 5032, NAICS Code is 423320, Size Standard in number of employees is a 100. Contractor will provide Past Performance References upon submittal of offer. Evaluation factor will be based on Price and Past Performance. Award will be based on whether the lower price offer having the highest past performance rating possible represents the best value when compared to the lower priced offer. FAR 13.106-2(b)(4)(ii) Evaluation of Quotations or Offers Solicitation W912EP-08-R-0015 will be issued on 30 April 2008 and offers due on 14 May 2008 by 2:00 pm. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
