- Solicitation 8008-21 seeks exclusive use flight services consisting of a fully Contractor operated and maintained multi-engine jet airplane with 81 or more passenger seats meeting the requirements of the solicitation. The resulting contract will support the US Forest Services wildland fire and emergency management programs throughout North America. The Contractor will be required to hold a current Federal Aviation Administration air carrier and operating specification for the category and class of aircraft required under the contract which are: airplane, multi-engine, VFR, IFR day/night, passenger, and cargo. The Contractor will be required to operate and maintain the aircraft under 14 CFR, Part 121. The term of the contract will be one year with options to renew for two additional years with an exclusive use (guarantee) period beginning approximately June 15, 2008 and extending until September 30, 2008. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued Friday April 25, 2008. Solicitation information will be available through the FedBizOpps site (found under Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, NBC, Aviation Management Headquarters, Boise, ID) and at http://amd.nbc.gov by clicking on Current Solicitations. It is a requirement that the successful awardee be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to award being made.
