- THIS SYNOPSIS HAS BEEN AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: 1. THE CLASS CODE HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM 99, MISSCELLANOUS TO 89, SUBSISTENCE (FOOD). ALL OTHER TERMS OF THE SYNOPSIS REMAIN THE SAME. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, management, supervision, supplies, equipment and transportation necessary to provide a variety of fresh, never frozen, pre-baked packaged bread products such as sliced loaf breads, hot dog and hamburger buns, dinner rolls, bagels, tortillas and pita bread to support the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, CRDAMC, Nutrition Care Division at Fort Hood, Texas. Renovation of the CRDAMC is expected to last approx 24 months. During and after the renovations CRDAMC will be operating kiosks to provide a variety of products that will require fresh, never frozen breads. Delivery will be required 3 times per week due to limited storage. The Contractor shall notify and receive approval from CRDAMC prior to delivery of any product substitutions. The anticipated period of performance is a Base period beginning 1 May 2008 through 30 September and 1 one-year option. The contract type will be a Fixed-Price Requirements contract, against which fixed priced delivery orders can be issued. The Government anticipates issuing the Invitation for Bid (IFB) W91151-08-B-0002 o/a 8 April 2008. To promote full and open competition this acquisition will be solicited on an unrestricted baisis. Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Governments obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available tothe Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation will be available for download on the Fort Hood Directorate of Contractings Business Opportunities Page on the Army Single Face to Industry website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors shall be required to use Wide Area WorkFlow electronic system for submitting and processing payment requests (https://wawf.eb.mil/).
