- The US Army Sustainment Command intends to issue Request for Quote, W52P1J-08-Q-0009, to the Army Single Face to Industry Website (AFSI) at http://acquisition.army.mil/afsi on or about April 30, 2008 with an opening date of 15 days after issuance. The applicable NAICS code is 325920. This requirement is for production quantity of 3,348 each MN85 Dynamite (75 percent Ammonium Nitrate) NSN: 1375-01-494-9223, PN: DN107310008-1, and 1,224 each M587 Dynamite (40 percent Nitroglycerin), NSN: 1375-00-096-3095, PN: R70JA. A detailed statement of work will be provided with the solicitation that specifically outlines the requirements. The acquisition strategy for these items is commercial, simplified acquisitions. The sticks of Dynamite (40 percent Nitroglycerin) and sticks of Dynamite (75 percent Ammonium Nitrate) will be procured via purchase orders. MN85 Dynamite (75 percent Ammonium Nitrate) is a detonator sensitive, all-purpose, water resistant, packaged emulsion explosive that is recommended for underground drifting, quarry and construction blasting applications in medium rock types. M587 Dynamite (40 percent Nitroglycerin) is used in Canine Explosive Scent Kits designed to provide realistic training for sentry dogs and increase their proficiency to search and detect various amounts of explosive materials used by terrorists and subversives. All contractors who provide goods/services to the Department of Defense must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). If you are not registered in CCR, you cannot be awarded a DOD contract. The internet site for registering in the CCR is http://www.ccr.gov/. You may also contact the CCR Registration Assistance Center at 1-888-227-2423, customer service, and request the registration form and assistance packet for completion. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.5, 5.102 and 14.205-1 (a), therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://www.afsc.army.mil/ac/aais/ioc/solinfo/index.htm, https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi, and http://www.FedBizOpps.gov. NOTE: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendmentswhich may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of it.
