- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis M58 and M59 armor shielding kits from Specialty Products, Inc., 2410 104th Street Ct. S. Suite D., Lakewood, WA 98499-8701. This procurement is sole source due to patent rights. The period of performance will end 31 August 2008. Two (2) M58 kits and eight (8) M59 kits are to be delivered by 31 August 2008. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 33311 with a size standard of $23 Million. The order shall be ! a fixed priced order. FOB Destination shall apply. Delivery shall be to Hawthorne, NV 89415. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be used. This procurement is DO priority rated. DOD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database. Registration can be completed by accessing the CCR Web Site at http://www.ccr.gov. A paper registration form may be obtained from the DOD Electronic Commerce Information Center at (800) 334-3414. Closing date: 21 April 2008 2 p.m. EST; Anticipated award date: 23 April 2008.
