- Description
- Meadowood Fence-Staging Area - The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials required to construct an aggregate-surfaced construction staging area at the location of the Mustang Trailhead on Harley Road within the Meadowood Recreation Area. This staging area will be used to stockpile materials and stage equipment for demolishing, removing and replacing fencing at the Meadowood Recreation Area managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The fence work will involve furnishing labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to remove existing 3-board wood and barbed wire fence and install and paint new 3-board wood fencing, including gates and other appurtenances. When the fence work is complete, the staging area will be finished by the contractor to serve as a trailhead parking area, to include a paved entrance from Harley Road. The work is located in Fairfax County, Virginia. This requirement is open to both large and small businesses under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The anticipated period of performance is 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Bonds will be required as follows: Bid Guarantee - 20% of the bid price, Payment and Performance bonds - 100% of the contract price. The solicitation will be available by electronic posting only and may be found at www.fedbizopps.gov. Bidders will be required to print the bidding documents for submission of their bids. The solicitation documents will be posted on or about April 30, 2008. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
