- Description
- The National Park Service is soliciting proposals for Service Disabled Veteran Owned construction firms having the capability to perform the work described herein. The work of this contract consists of the general construction of underground water mains including installation of associated appurtenances and connections to existing branch lines, fire hydrants and buildings. Additives to this contract: Furnish and install a complete copper and fiber optic communication system. A single conduit containing 3 innerducts shall be installed in the common trench along with the waterline pipe for the entire run. All work to be performed under a single contract. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of the Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec,nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available and electronic submission of contractor proposals will not be accepted. This is a best value procurement and award will be made based on price and non-price related factors. The Government will not accept an offer for award on the basis of superior capability without concern for the price of the offer. Non-price factors are significantly more important than cost or price. Factors include, but may not be limited to: project management, demonstrated abilities in work required (experience) and past performance. Details related to the source selection process will be posted within the solicitation in Sections L & M. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237110 with a size standard of $31.0 million. This notice is not the solicitation. The solicitation package will be available on or about April 30, 2008. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The standard form 1442 is available at the web site by clicking on the "printer friendly form" link. The remainder of the solicitation (including all pertinent attachments) is available at the site by clicking on the link "clauses and attachments," which is located in the blue box near the middle of the screen. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
