- Description
- United States Forest Service requires stereo-aerial photography and digital imagery services for 2-foot resolution imagery, ortho rectification services, and related metadata files. Imagery acquisition must be accomplished using a digital camera that can collect natural color and infrared simultaneously. IMU and ABGPS are required. Deliverables include: uncompressed digital ortho quarter quad tiles (DOQQs), unprocessed digital image file, and other metadata (including IMU and ABGPS data); due 60 days after the end of the flying season. Approximately 10,500 square miles is required to be flown during June 1 to August 30, 2008. The quality of Alaska digital elevation models (DEMs) are historically poor and/or nonexistent and potential offerors are encouraged to review all possible approaches to meet the contract requirements. Solicitation number (RFP) USDA-FS-1-08 will be issued on or about April 30, 2008 with proposals due May 30, 2008. The solicitation will be issued under FAR 15 as full and open competition procurement and is subject to the Availability of Funds Clause (FAR 52.232-18).
