- Description
- NASA/LaRC has a requirement for CPX licenses on the production server, maintanancerenewal for 100 CPX licenses currently on the NX ITAR server, and renewal of Xeroxdeveloper's subscription.NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Xerox as the only known distributor of thissoftware. CPX is a collaborative document management software based on Xerox's Docushareproduct and further developed under a Space Act agreement between NASA and Xerox. Duethe the uniqueness of the software and ongoing development efforts, award to any othersource would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government, which is notexpected to be recovered through competition. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon April 18, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
