- This is a combined/synopsis for sole source procurement of commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotation (RFQ) is N00244-08-T-0293 Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, Ca (FISCSD) intends to issue a sole source purchase order (PO) to Wing Inflatables, 1132 Samoa Blvd, Arcata, Ca, 95521-6653. The PO is for replacement of damaged HD split bow sponson sets (Wing part number 9300019) for 11 meter rigid inflatable boats (RIB) built by United States Marine, Inc. The following description applies to Wing part number 9300019: 40 oz Polyurethane fabric; NATO Grey; split bow sponson (port and starboard sides) 5 air chambers per side with Mirada fill and pressure relief valves per chamber; Tube length: 35 ft; Tube diameter: 21 inches; Inboard and Outboard boltrope attachments; bow strap and bow cover; Double 8" rubstrake (NATO) for a total of 15" coverage; full length bottom fabric chafe; top textured tread with entire outer of surface dull coated (to take the shine away); full length outboard lifeline; and repair kit included. See Government-wide note 22. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated capability is invited to submit written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 calendar days from the date of this publication. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, FISCSD will proceed with the sole source award.
