- Description
- External inspection and Acoustic Emission Examination (AE) of (9) DOT-107A-2400 gas cylinders. They are located at Naval Submarine Medical Research Lab (bldg. 141) on the Naval Submarine Base Groton, CT. The cylinders are 27 feet long and have a diameter of 18.6 inches. (48 SCF floodable volume, 2400 PSIG working pressure) The cylinders are stacked 3 high by 3 wide. Cylinders will be tested in place. The test procedure will be in accordance with ASTM E-1419, Standard Test Method for Examination of Seamless, Gas Filled, Pressure Vessels Using Acoustic Emission.
