- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, RI has a requirement for IT hardware in support of an Advanced Scientific and Engineering Computation Center (ASECC) upgrade. It consists of an integrated high-performance computer cluster, workstations and storage systems. These items have been configured to integrate as a unified system. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase on a firm fixed price basis the following item: CLIN 0001- High Performance Computer Cluster. Quantity 1. CLIN 0002- High-End Graphics Workstations. Quantity 4. CLIN 0003- Mid-Range Graphics Workstations. Quantity 13. CLIN 0004- Low-End Graphics Workstations. Quantity 9. CLIN 0005- Network Attached Storage System. Quantity 2. This procurement is 100% small business set aside. NAICS Code is 334111, size standard is 1,000 employees. Minimum specifications and further details will be released upon issue of RFP #N66604-08-Q-2731, which is anticipated to be on or about 04/09/2008. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award.
